Marcia Smith has raised Shih Tzus for over 50 years. Marcia loves her dogs and raises the litters in her home. Each dog gets individual love and attention every day. Marcia is very proud of each one as if they are her children! She loves nothing more than to see new owners' faces light up as they see their new puppy!
Dick and Marcia Smith have lived in St. John, KS for 59 years. They have raised four children and now have ten grand kids and eight great-grand kids.
Marcia has always been an animal lover. She has never been without a pet, starting with her dog, Shorty, and her horse, Rex. She started training horses at the age of 14.
At Smith Hill, there are three horses, two cats, and twenty-seven dogs. Marcia decided to share her love of dogs with others by raising puppies to sell. She started raising dogs in 1970 with Shih Tzus, West Highland Terriers, and German Shepherds. She quickly found that her love of Shih Tzus far exceeded the other breeds. She continues currently with a lovely selection of females, males, and puppies.
